Spring 2017

This class will explore how lament is able to deepen and enrich the Christian longing for Shalom. We will look primarily at how various artists have utilized the biblical categories of Shalom and lament to dievelop a complex language of grief and threnody through music, image and metaphor. Core to this artisitic repsonse is the hope that emerges through the ongoing work and presence of the triune God of love and grace.
